Update Available For Wi-Fi Security Bug On HTC Devices

For getting your android device stay safe, do not download the apps from untrusted sources and also be carefull when approving the app request permission to access the system. Because if we are not aware about this big rules, its easy to the malicious android apps to access your private data and use it for unappropiate interest.

The HTC company has confirm there is a Wi-Fi security bug on their several HTC devices. According to the HTC, the bug is occur when the apps get full granted access permission to the ACCESS_WIFI_STATE. not only able to check the Wi-Fi connection status but also able to return of requests with the your Wi-Fi password. In easy explanation, the apps that has full granted access to Wi-Fi connetion can harvesting your Wi-Fi network password silently.

HTC report to the public what devices are to be affected. There are HTC Thunderbolt 4G, HTC myTouch 4G, HTC Desire HD, HTC Sensation, HTC Desire S, HTC Droid Incredible, and HTC EVO 3D. The company now still in hard working to patch all the affected HTC devices. Several devices has been patched on previous maintainances and for other devices the patches will release in next week. You need to install the patch update manually, said the HTC.
