Here are the Dropbox system works, first the Dropbox will give you a folder on your device (PC, smartphone, tablet). Then you can save your data on the given folder which are the data will automatically uploaded to the Dropbox's cloud server. And the benefit is you can access your uploaded data from anywhere Dropbox app.
To get 5 GB of free quota, first you should download the new Dropbox Android App then try to upload few images to there.
