Windows Joins in Smart-Phone Wagon

Apparently Android smart-phones have been immensely invading the market, and even outmatching the iPhone and the Blackberry in some aspects. And with all these brouhaha among the smart-phones, it is only a matter of time before the ever-ubiquitous Windows joins in the fray. Now, HTC rolls out the new HD7, loaded with the fresh Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system. Will it run sweet in the smart-phone market? The following is a quick overview of the HTC HD7.

Surely, it promises a different kind of smart-phone experience. The Windows 7.5 Mango features a clean and clear tiles interface, which is the same signature look of the erstwhile Windows Phone OS, the Xbox 360 and the Windows 8. The Mango only does it better. This tiles interface looks antiseptic and uncluttered, and those with slight obsessive compulsion may find it visually appealing.

The HTC HD7 runs on a 1 gigahertz Qualcomm Scorpion processor combined with an Adreno 200 GPU, and packs an 8 or 16 gigabyte internal memory and 576 MB of RAM. However, it does not have an expandable card slot. Those who love to fit in their whole media library into smart-phone may not be quite happy about this.

Also, the HTC HD7 carries a single 5-megapixel camera at the back, equipped with a dual-LED flash.
