Samsung Galaxy Mini Review

Another one of Samsung’s budget phones is the Samsung Galaxy Mini. Being one from the “Galaxy” line, this phone ships with Android 2.2 Froyo pre-installed and is upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread as well.

In terms of its hardware, the Galaxy Mini looks and feels quite cheap in comparison to other models from the Galaxy line. In fact, it looks like a descendant of the Samsung Corby. The Corby 2 and the Galaxy mini almost looks the same. They also have the same fancy colors which are perfect for teenagers. However, the Galaxy Mini is a huge step ahead of the Corby for it runs Android and it has a 3.14 inch display while the Corby has only 2.8 inches.

In terms of the overall experience with the Samsung Galaxy Mini, we can say that it’s a pretty good phone for the budget. The TouchWiz UI integration is a huge plus as it makes every icon looks attractive and just the interface easier to use. It does have a few lags though but that is to expect from a 600 MHz processor.

All in all, the Samsung Galaxy Mini is a pretty decent Android phone for its cost. It is perfect for teenagers who just need a good phone which you can use for calling, texting, and browsing the internet as well as for those who wants to enjoy the Android market.
