Samsung Galaxy Gio Review

Another Galaxy phone from Samsung has been released and is taking the line to a much cheaper level. The Galaxy Gio is being sold for as low as $144. Is it worth the price? Let’s dig a little deeper.

The Galaxy Gio is being shipped with Android 2.2 Froyo pre-installed and is upgradable to Gingerbread too. It has an 800 MHz processor which is really pretty decent. It also has the TouchWiz user interface which makes managing widgets and home screens really easy and fast.

In terms of hardware, the Gio looks a lot better in comparison to the Galaxy Mini or Fit. Unlike the two, the Gio has a different look but not much of a difference when it comes to the price. The Gio sports a 3.2 inch full touch display. It also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS. It does give you a huge difference for just a few bucks. The 800 Mhz processor also does a good job as it does not lag as much as the Galaxy Fit or Mini.

All in all, the Gio is a pretty good phone for its price. It has a simple yet attractive body with a complete Android experience.
