Android Applications that Help Promote “Safe” Browsing for Kids

Android phones, softwares, and applications are in constant development towards providing users with the information that they need as fast as possible. Because of these technological advancements, information can be accessed anytime, anywhere, and by anyone. As such, parents have a dilemma on whether to give their children high-tech gadgets with the risk of giving them access to lots of information which may include malicious data. With regards to these, there are some applications that can help parents promote safe browsing on android phones and tablets.

Restricting applications such as Toddler Lock and the Famigo Sandbox are designed to allow only selected applications by the parents. These two applications can lock down applications as well as internet browsing. Locking applications can be done by enabling content filtering in the Android Market setting. On the other hand, internet browsing can be blocked by just disabling network connections in the settings menu. On the other hand, if you want to provide internet connection while blocking access to fithy stuffs, there is a Safe Browser application which can blacklist some unwanted sites.

Because of technology, information can be easily accessed and passed on from one user to another. Because of this, it is important to keep your gadgets child-friendly in case he or she would want to borrow and play with it.
